This project began by combining three floor plans into one large four bedroom condo. We customized the space by using dramatic countertops, rich marble flooring, handmade wall tile, and punctuations of Venetian plaster and wallpaper. The entryway acts as a cocktail lounge with a floor-to-ceiling multifunctional storage system that serves as a bar, a workspace, and provides the maximum amount of storage for additional serving pieces. The design of the living room began with the selection of a freeform rug that both defines the circulation and brings the primary color and pattern in the space. The linear sofa and sculptural lounge chairs create a dynamic interplay between architecturally rigid forms and soft organic shapes. The master bath is all about layered tones and subtle texture. The ultra-luxe suede finished pietra grey marble floor sets the stage for the dramatic wall to wall hand made tile. Tying it all together, a handsome Venetian plaster was used on every surface not covered in tile. We used highly functional yet supremely sexy linear wall sconces that swivel to really make the bathroom feel special.
